Introducing myself.....Grizzley here. Getting close to a certain age of not working for a living and enjoying a superannuation fuelled sea change,
Been riding bikes for more years than I care to remember...but never a Harley...various Jap, BMW and even way back, a Bultaco. Have owned about a dozen different bikes over the years. Current bike is Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1600...which is about to go to be replaced by a bit of American iron. I got sick of "but its not a Harley" and either weakened or saw the light. Looking very bloody seriously at a 2008 Electra Glide Ultra 105th Anniversary (read that as about to buy as the minister of finances has just given her learned blessing to spend some of the kids inheritance...god bless her little cotton socks).
So that's me. Will the earth now move?
Cheers
Grizz

Welcome again
Welcome , both to you , and to you ....
Posted same message three times as I was so nervous about coming over to the dark side........
Ok, serious stuff. Purchased my bike on Saturday. 2008 Electra Glide Ultra Classic in black with only 2340 km on the clock. As near to brand new as one can get. Owner didn't even allow it to sit on his garage floor but had it on a bike lift. Basically a new bike that is five years old...and half the new price. I am happy.
I had to post it twice.....due to my split personality......................
Good point Steve, I took a knowledgeable Harley person with my yesterday who spent a bit of time going over it and told me "fk, if you don't buy it I will". I will also get Robbo's main mechanical man Pete, have a good look over it as well. Second hand always has some risk but I guess, but taking all things into account (and not being the easiest bloke to sell something to), I am content with my decision. The owner was so confident that he offered a six months warranty himself...true. Thanks for advice. Grizz
Nice bike mate, bonus a few non std bits showing in the picture.
Hi grizzley, nice score. It's not very often you come across an absolute bargain, you'd have to be pretty happy with that. First thing I'd do would be to change all the oils for fresh stuff.
The oil was changed 300km ago. Full service actually. The bike has been up on a bike lift all of its life, excepting very rare rides by the previous owner. The tyres look pretty good but I will keep and eye on them. Thanks for info. Grizz
