Just had an overnighter to the Wongan Hills Civic hotel. 2 dry days forecast so off we shot

5 of us , 3 Harleys , a Triumph 955 trailie and a Ducati 1000 Monster

All of the Harleys and the Triumph made it to Wongan and still had nearly 1/2 tank left

The Monster ran dry 1k out of Wongan ! Servo closed but we realised after a wee panic that some of the pumps worked with a credit card !

Took fuel back to him in a watering can wedged in the pannier of a Roadking !

So we all filled up there " just in case " . Quite a nice wee country town actually

Old 2 storey hotel from the 1930's . Worn but clean rooms $70 for a single . REAL good counter meals and $8.50 pints.

No " Titty barmaids " but they do get them !!

We all watched " Lock Stock and 2 smoking barrels" with a 6 Guiness take-out pack in the guest TV viewing lounge. What a fucking larrf !

Cold as all fuck , windy but dry ( thankfully )

Route : Perth-Chittering Valley-Bindoon Bakery-Calingiri-Wongan

Home : Wongan-Goomalling-Toodyay (brekky) then home to Perth ;

390 K's door to door . A cold , dry and very good weekend.

Hotel is bike friendly as are the locals. Thoroughly reccomended by us !
