So my nightrod 2013 has TAB slip on's, i cant stand the look of this exhaust and was going to get the Vance n Hines comp 2-1 system in black.. but its sold out in OZ and the next shipment is 2mths away and already sold out im told.. as i spoke with the supplier (cassons)
Where in Australia, or QLD can i get this system from as it looks to be very similar to the vance hines

does anyone have these pipes??
i guess my question is...
how does it compare to the vance and hines in regards to quality, and performance gains? $299 is cheap.. but not if its junk!
mine is a 2013, it only mentions up to 2011
did you try MCAS? they usually have stock? if not i can ask a mate who may have a set in sydney...?

the old CFR pipe could be another option for you... loud and have a similar look to the comp pipes
if it was me i'd stick out the wait for V&H, although the heat they generate on your right leg is insane in summer, they transform the look of your bike as much as the sound!
I purchased my V&H S/S brushed 2 into 1 Competition pipes from mandmcycles.com
They cost me AU$595.00 +freight and were at my door within 7 days....not $1,000.00 retail here.
Mine is a 2012 VRSCDX Night Rod Special Anniversary edition in Silver and looks AND sounds Awesome...I also purchased some shit Chinese bits for her that did not fit and are still in my shed with the boxes gathering dust...so much for cheap parts...if it helps ya..j
Yeah Tony, it's great re the heat, they look good too, as mentioned mine is white and I went to a Melb. dealer and was quoted $90.00 each for the actual bindings (was told I'd need two) I then casually asked if they could bind the pipes and was enthusiastically told Yes yes, we can do that "no worries"..."How much" says I..."oh..probably an hour or a bit more" says he..."what is the going rate at the moment?"...."$130/hr +GS fuckenT =$143 dollars an hour...wonder why I didn't get them there...I purchased more than enough on the net for $60.00, and had fun winding the bloody things on myself (from the muffler to the head) after immersing them in water,,, an matey....it looks hot....
My pipes look good Tony, (V&H Comp.) but shit mate they are VERY noisy and it's only a matter of time....hope this helps mate....j
Yeah mate, they are Thermal Velocity Heat Treated Wraps and are a Sydney mob, the contact is john@thermalvelocity.com.au or if you go to their website, they even have a video showing you how....They come with pissy s/s ties, but I went to Bunnings and got some real pipe clamps....as to photo's, my grandkids are on holidays so that technology is way beyond me old fella....sorry, but they'll eventually get back....see ya n have fun...j
Hi Guys,
I am looking at fitting V&H comp pipe on my 012 night rod but i am now interested in the Akropovic 2-1 as another option. has anyone fitted one of these or know someone who has ? Everyone says that ther V&H are the very best pipe for these bikes, but everyone also says they scrape while cornering to the right, they throw off that much heat that you can barelly stand keeping your right leg on the peg and that they are also very loud.
can anyone offer some advice.
