If your not keen on spending money for the upgrade you may as well leave it. Anyway its not going to make it go better than it does now.

Its probably going to cost about $2,000-$2,500 bucks to do the upgrades, exhaust system, tuner, air cleaner then if your not mechanically minded you will have to get ripped by the dealer with their cost ontop of that to do the upgrades, alot of money for not alot of power.

Also you wont get hassled buy the cops so that will save you heaps of cash, leaving it stock is a great way to save some cash.

You can pick up a set of Xieds for $115 us including shipping direct from nightrider.com
    http://sales.nightrider.com/
If your only doing stage one upgrades (mufflers ang air cleaner) they will work just fine without spending $300 or so on a tuner
If you plan more mods to your engine you wil have to invest in a tuner

Our simple plug-n-play fuel management upgrade that fits most 2007 and later Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Nightrider's unique patented design works inline with your existing H-D Bosch narrow band O2 sensor and Delphi ECM to richen the fuel mixtures. Riders can quickly and simply richen the closed loop fuel mixture on your TC96/103/110 engine from the stock 14.6:1 to 13.8:1 AFR. The XiED's will add approximately 8% more fuel to the engine in closed loop operating mode than a similar unequipped vehicle. There is an indirect richening of open loop fuel mixture's through the learning mode or adaptive fuel value action, ensuring these richer 13.8-12.5:1 AFR's are also adjusted in heavy/full throttle situations. This richer fuel mixture results in benefits that can include:
    Cooler exhaust temperatures
    Reduced engine temperatures
    Improved throttle response
    Less engine ping
Recommended for HD bikes with OEM emissions downloads.

The XIED works fine with Upgraded exhaust systems including slip-on mufflers and full exhaust changes, and air cleaner upgrades are compatible with the XiED(R) upgrade.

    Good luck

    As said already
Try the Nightrider IED or Xied wires

Best bang for the buck with "regards to tuning"

Your Sporty will run just fine with them

Easy option just get some slip ons, from memory you can go to around 2.5 inch baffles(think thats what i had on mine to start) without tuner,

personally I like the sound of Rush slipons, order from OS around $300 or less delivered

Youll need a tuner if you do exhaust AND air.

A cheap mod is to knock the baffles through. But if you get done for noise you wont have standard ones for the test.

Supertrapp tunable mufflers with a K&N air cleaner in the stock air cleaner box will give you a great hp improvment with a deep exhaust note plus more options if the EPA start looking your way.
    Nice sled mate enjoy

Mate, I've just installed a set of slip ons for my 2013 street bob, cost me $300 plus shipping, so roughly $400 landed. Sounds monsterous and runs fine except for a little pop on decal...

Got an Aren Ness filter for rougly $160 landed and the Race tuner for Harley is gonna set me back around $500 or so... So a full setup for a lot less that the 2 grand I was quoted. Just need to shop around a bit.

Just whack the pipes on and see how it goes
