Stalling

     Hey guys,

The other day changing down from 4th bike felt and sounded it wanted to stall. Changed to 2nd and I said wtf looking down at tank as you would! I noticed speedo was on 0 and by now I'm in first gear coming to a stop and clutch in gliding I stop and motor says "clunk clunk bike is stalled. In neutral all switches to off posie and back on bike starts but clunked a few times started idled in neural. 1st gear take off no speedo and I can feel it's not right but still has normal excelleration but changing up to second I feel that slight "starving sound" in between that neutral stage of normal gear change.

Anyway turning into my street in 1st gear by third gear I notice my blinker hasn't disengaged.

in the morning hopped on to go to work it was fine. 30min ride. Just before work it did it again. This time at a stop I have to slightly keep the revs up in neutral otherwise it wants to stall.

This is now the fourth day and this is what I have so far when the bike wants to stall.

    1. Speedo stopped working

    2. Blinker doesn't disengage

    3. At a stop need to keep throttle on as per normal idel ..... But not always it has sat idled after coming to a stop a few times.

    4. Have noticed this is occuring after roughly 15klm ride 20mins every time back and forth from work.

    Could it be the mapping?

Hope someone can lead me in the right direction to get this sorted.

    Cheers

Start at the basics first. Have you done anything to the bike?
    Changed or added anything?
Washed it? If yes to any of these, what did you do?
If not go to next steps.
Check the battery for loose terminals and/or loose earth connections at all points.
Get yourself a multimeter and check these.
Check battery voltage. Static should be 12.8 or higher, if not, charge overnight
Check alternator output. with bike running should be 13.5v - 14.5v.
Try these for starters and see how you go.

    Hi thanks for the reply.

A month ago i had total flat battery at work left ignition on!!! took battery home put it on charge got full charge. next day at work reconnected and all was good.

Since it has started to do this I have thought about the battery so I took off the terminals let it sit for 15mins but to no avail.

When i did recharge the battery it had full charge.

Hi all...I had a similar problem. It was a sensor that shit it self.Think it was the engine temperature sensor.

Couple of good answers there. Get battery checked first That's the easiest thing to do then fault find the sensors.

My daughters car had all the symptoms of a fucked computer, could have cost over a grand to fix. Ended up being a cheap relay!
