I just fitted this today. I was concerned about to chain tension and have been researching things for a while. I noticed a bit of chain slap a few times when the bike was idling after warming up. On those occasions I dropped the primary case and tapped the chain tensioner to tighten the chain. I bit the bullet and bought one from M&M Cycles. $134.00 US deliverd. Took 5 days to get here which is pretty good for Fedex from the US.
As far as fitting goes it is pretty straight forward, an idiots guide is included in the package. One thing I though my chain would have stretched a bit, but that was not the case. When fitting the tensioner a measurement is taken from the bottom of the shoe to the mounting plate and it should be 3/8" well mine was a tad over 1/2" Anything more than the 3/8" and that indicates chain stretch and that is what the shims are for. That is without any of the packing shims in place. I took it off and placed the thinnest shim in and it remeasured and it was under 1/2". It is not that hard to fit but, but you need to be able to compress the springs to get it into place. I found using a large flat screw driver helped to align the bottom plate with the bolt holes.
.Well I will see how things go over the next few weeks. It is supposed to make gear changes smoother, I just wait and see.
This is what is in the box along with the instructions
Overall a solid piece of kit...

The original Auto Tensioner, note the wear marks
Got the BT07 about 6 months ago. When I ordered it, Mark at M&M Cycles said he had been using one in his bike and it's still going strong after 100,000 miles. I believe there has been an upgrade on the spring/s and noticed that the mounting plate is now one piece, where-as mine has parts welded together. - Rob
