Dont know anything about the Sundowner seat but changed the original seat on my Slim [ good for 30 mins ] to a Mustang for me and my pillion. Can easily stay on all day. There is so much difference in comfort money well spent.

Was considering a Sundowner, but ended up going with a Saddlemen explorer. Looks much better than the Sundowner IMO, and much better made for the same sort of price. Only bought it for the missus, as I am quite comfortable on the Badlander (cue the jeers!!) Since fitting, I am now considering going back to the badlander, as I cant start the bike without the girl jumping on the back. Awesome seat, but like the other tourers, it does move you up and forward about an inch, but should almost settle back to the original seating position as it wears in.
