Used to sit up on the Pacific highway at Berowra (Northern Sydney) back in the 60's and watch all the bikes go by for their weekend Run to Gosford and back.
Then I saw Easy Rider at the Movies and that was that.

my first bike was a Honda Z50 when I was about 8, just over 40 years ago now and I have had a bike in my life on and off ever since. I have tried to give them up a few times as I just couldn't ride the jap bikes sensibly, but they always called me back. This time round I am really enjoying the heritage and not in a hurry anymore.

My Mates face was always filled with joy when he got off his bike, Mum would never allow me to get a Bike, then i started working, My Mate gave me a ride on the back, His cousin taught me to ride dirt bikes & then that was it..
    The FREEDOM was just brilliant.

    Enjoy all.

Spent my lifes savings on a TS185 at 16. Parents not into riding at all - was living in Mount Isa at the time.
Managed to break the gear leaver off that thing every school holidays - That got me into breaking down bikes. Had that thing ported and running on av-gas I'd steal from a local mine air strip by the time I was 18 and at uni, home on holidays.

Harleys - well if you look at pictures of choppers for long enough eventuall you find them irresistable....

My father was a patched member of one of the most respected MC's in the world, my earliest memory was when I was 2 years old and on Christmas he took me for a ride on his Harley while on his lap, not the safest thing in the world especially after seeing a photo of the occasion but a great first memory, going to Broadford as a kid every year and seeing and hearing all the Harley-Davidsons coming and going, finally I managed to get my first bike last year and it had to be a Harley-Davidson which I am now able to ride proudly on with my Dad on his own bike.

Don't take this personally but it's none of your buisness and it's got nothing to do with this topic so I won't be answering your question, cheers.

As a kid I grew up on a farm, first thing with 2 wheels I had was a 3 speed dragster push bike, which was resurrected and given to me as a present from my Dads eldest brother. I would have been around 5 at the time. Progressed to a 20" BMX with coaster brake until early teens, when I was able to save up enough money in Xmas holidays to buy my very own 26", 10 speed mountain bike.

My other younger cousins lived on farms too, & had a couple old Yamaha 80cc scramble type bikes, they must have been around 1970's vintage. I loved riding them, I guess that was first time I'd ever ridden a motor bike, apart from my old man dinkying me on his '85 Honda 250XL, checking on our sheep.

I was in my early 20's before I bought my very first bike, a Honda XR 250. Had it for probably 3 or so years, crashed it heaps but was still able to get up and ride again most times. Last time I rode it, I flipped it doin about 90km on back wheel down a dirt road. Managed to hop back on it rather gingerly with fairly significant grazing to the old arse cheeks. Parked it up for what was to be a year or so before selling it.

Move on Ten years later, I bought my very 1st Harley last year. I'm so glad to be able to enjoy the freedom of being on 2 wheels again.
