Don't worry Breakout Dan, that's a good size tire as long as your are not racing in the mountains at high speeds, minor corners won't be a issue, and as long as you have plenty of upper body musle you will do fine, hehehe I have a 250mm myself and I do just fine going around courners,(I keep up with those with smaller tires, but it takes a lot of energy and concentration just mostly due to my bikes configuration and 800lbs of weight that I have to try to throw around threw the corners).  You do have to go a little slower if you have a raked bike, but with the front wheel closer to you, you should not have any issues I think. Mine not because of my tire size but because my chopper is 9 foot long, lol so for me I find it's ok, I don't have issue on the 250mm but my freind on his 330mm man that suck'S for corniering, its very hard to bring the bike back up as it wants to stay on the side of the tire. I don't have that issue. Sounds like you got quite a poject a head of you, good luck on all your madifications and most importantly just enjoy the ride when it's all done man.

    Sincerely, Peep Show

Thanks Peepshow , my Ducati Diavel  had a 240 rear end and that was a bit to get used to. My neighbour had a 260 on his modified softail and he could ride it like I rode my Duke so I'm not really worried about going around corners super fast, that's what jap bikes are for. I'm getting older just want to cruise , that's why I bought my Chevelle just to cruise....

ps your bike looks as long as my cruiser lol

I know the feeling Breakout Dan, I used to ride those crotch rockets (Mine was a heavily modified GSXR750RR), over there in Snetterton, UK that was when I was much younger and like you now all I want to do is Cruise and enjoy the wind in my face, which is why I bought a chopper to relax with, so I thought, lol She is a beast, and takes a lot of energy to drive her, much more than my GSXR750RR ever did, hehehehe But she is fun. So I can relate to what you mean. Peep Show is pretty long at 9 foot, the rake is 45 degrees, and the frame was also stretched 2 inch when she was built. She definitely runs with the wind when I want her to, but mostly I cruise, hehehehe Your bike looks really nice as well, We have one rider in our group who has one, he hasn't done that much too her other then change the pipes but I know his also scoots pretty well, especially up hills and around corners, lol,  be careful and always enjoy good sir.
