Haha thanks man. Gotta laugh about it. Although i wasnt laughing this morning when i took the dressing off, and the nurse from last night put tape over the open wound. Pulled it off and fainted from the pain. But hey, what happens happens. Can't change it. I'm alive, could have been a lot worse, and I need to be thankful for that.

The bike, I don't know yet. Because I was taken to the hospital and the police showed up, they had to do blood tests. I didn't have any alcohol in my system. Hadn't had a drink for days probably. But I think they want to wait for the results to be sure, since if there was alcohol in my blood they would refuse my claim. I'm waiting for the bike shop to call me as well.

What was the bit on the bike that actually did the damage to ya freckle? Or did ya just blow ya "o" ring from the shock of being hit?

I have no idea to be honest. The docs seem to think I landed on something sticking out from my bike. Like the air cleaner. Something that could go through my jeans and puncture the skin.

Mind you at 50kph it's probably not hard to do.

Hey ConR, I still remember when I last rode my dirt bike over 10 years ago, flipped it doing 90 km/h on a dirt road. Tore a heap of skin off both ass cheeks, managed to get up and ride the bike home and parked it for a couple years before selling it. Any how back to the story, I was in agony and couldn't sit for very long periods for a few days before it started to heal. Your injuries sound way worse than just grazing, so rest up and enjoy the visits from the good looking nurses. P.s I couldn't bring myself to look at your picture, but glad you still have your sense of humor.

I'm a curious type and couldn't help but take a peek. I'm so glad I wear kevlar jeans now.
I, like others are impessed with your humour about the hole thing. (sorry whole thing).
Get better, as i know you will, and I hope its not too long between rides. Old or new.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. They're letting me go tomorrow. Then starts the home nursing visits twice a day to change the dressing.

I still can't sit down. They say it'll take at least a month to heal up. Again though, have to be thankful that this is all that happened. But I do really envy anyone who can fart and take a dump without agonising pain!

I'm keen to get back riding. I may take a bit of a break though haha. Few months off. Not that I can sit anyways!
