Which polished rotors & pads - can you recommend?

Morning - posted this in the Softail but figured it may be better over here.
I'm chroming out my front sliders and would like to fit polished rotors front and back.
My front rotor feels under spec so I'll simply replace rather than polish.

Can you suggest a quality rotor and pad, genuine or aftermaket.
Obviously safety is primary focus, secondary looks.

    Cheers

For pads you cannot beat Lyndall Gold.... About $60-$70 for the front set but man they stick like glue and there is absolutely no brake dust given off.

    Hi there

A huge +1 for Lyndall Pads. Use them on my Fattie and Bagger. Great pads and literally almost dust free.

    Cheers

Thanks for the replies regarding pads, any suggestions as to a polished rotor? Should I just buy genuine?

    Hi,

Buy a good name brand or OEM. Just be careful about ones that seem too cheap as you have no way of knowing what type or quality of metal went into making them. The quality of the steel in the disk is a major player in the stopping power, heat dispersion and warpability/stability of the system.

Matt buy the Harley stuff from Harley Heaven (sponsor on here). You will be shocked at how cheap two chromed floating rotors with new bolts actually cost. Mate just did this on a softie and the Harley parts were cheaper than a well known aftermarket brake supplier.

And get Russell brake lines! The non-expanding ones made a world of difference to my old Evo.

Thanks for replies, I ended up with a set of Harley polished rotors which were almost comparible in price to aftermarket (some good, some not sure) brands of rotors.
Just need to get a set of pads...

    Cheers

Give Rollies a call if your interested in Lyndall pads. They are cheaper than buying a set overseas via eBay.

I just got a set of Chrome Classic floaters for the from of my Streety from Blacktown Harley & they were cheaper then aftermarket from MCA. But I did buy the back one from MCA as it does have to pretty as you don't see it & that was only $80 & the fronts cost me approx $320. which was a lot better then MCA.
