took the hreitage out for a blast the other day to put a few kms on it. I was riding past Redbank and saw the law sitting in the middle on his cickle watching things go past. I was on my Heritage,(Black & Chrome) only 4000ks on it. I dont reckon i was 1 k past him and there he was in my mirror with lights and siren blaring. I asked what i did to upset him and he said i just want to check your helmet and handlebars. Geez , That was important enough to move as quick as he did. I handed him my 4000k old helmet and told him the bars were new from Boyde in Toowoomba. He got his fluro tape measure out of his little tool box behind his seat and proceded to measure that bars. He said they were 25 mm to wide on each sideand he started to get his pad out. (Fuck me) i said, which probably didnt help me!!!. Just then a patch rode past and the wolloper Looked at him and then said to me " this is ur lucky day, Im gonna set you free and go and book him ' UNQUOTE.

How the hell can they say they do not single us out.??? How are you supposed to show them any respect when they dont show you any.

I wish i had had the phone on record.

That gent sounds like a right asshole ><. I am frustrated with that, but the rub is, I know of 4 police (just seen them around at the dealership) who have big massive 2 into 2 Vance and Hines and their bikes are massively loud and they have beachbars, 18 inch apes etc which are all illegal etc and they never seem to get pulled up for it, whereas I have been done for both my pipes and my bars and so have a lot of others I ride with.

You feel like letting go with every bit of abuse you have inside you when this happens but you can't,  their usually a smart arse young prick so I like to treat them like a child when i'm talking to them, this irks them but there is nothing they can do about it as long as your not abusing them.

You must learn some of your basic rights and understand what they can and can't do, usually if they are faced with someone who seems to know a little about their rights you will find a lot of them back off albeit with a bit of bluster and bravado and some bullshit warning to you.

In your case knowing you have proof that the bike came standard with the bars you could have started relating that to him in a manner that meant you were willing to take it further with the help of the dealership where you purchased the bike.

The bottom line is you have to stand your ground with these little upstarts don't let them bluff you with bullshit, if you think you are in the right you probably are.

The day I had my accident, Anzac Day.....copper pulled me over in Gordon. Purposely turned around, as he was going in the opposite direction, pulled up to me at the lights, and asked me to pull over to have a chat up ahead. I did obviously.

I get off the bike, he says he pulled me over as my helmet was illegal, which it was not, as I bought it from Gear Factor in QLD, and it had all stickers and tags on it. It was a Bell Custom. He asked me where I got it. I told him. He said he was gonna get one himself too haha.

Said I had a nice ride, and rode off.

Yeah, I've been followed by quite a few Bike cops on the North Shore, but I was either in their way or they were checking the bike out.
The bugga that has got me on both bikes for noise is around late 50's in age.
Its like He's had enough of life, very morbid.

Coming back fromDawn service on Thursday went through an RBT, well actually didn't get to go through as I was pulled out of the line so they could have a good look at the bike (Iron883)

Strange thing was he seemd to know a little about bikes "I see your using the screamin eagle set up" but he couldn't figure out how my brake and indicator light could be intergrated, went over the whole thing, even pulled out a little measuring device so he could check the clearance between the back wheel and the guard really looking for something......

He then asked to see the rego which wasn't displayed, here we go I thought and I said it must have "fallen off" yesterday, " no worries, I will just run it through the computer". Comes back a few minutes later and tells me it is all goood and to have a nice day (no breath test either)

Off I go relived but confused, I was polite and had a hot young friend on the back which may have helped but not sure why he picking through everything with a fine tooth comb yet couldn't give a stuff about the obvious things.

Will have to wait to see if there is an EPA notice in the mail

someone with a on board camera needs to catch these acts of entrapment on memory card and send it in to ACA or TT to show the rest of OZ what these F___wits are doing! They will cause an accident one day.
