Height, weight, have you ridden other bikes? That said, the answer is Street Bob or Fat Bob.

+1 street bob. The bigger bike with longer range will suit your riding need better than any sporty (maybe a 1200 custom with a nice seat). Granted at 180ks a day you will probably be hitting the servo every second day, even with a big tank.

Yup you'll need to fill up just about every day, I would'nt start out on a trip after having done 180kms in traffic on my 1200c. I would imagine that 5' 6" would be getting down there in heights for a sportster but a "low" sportster might be ok for a smaller rider. I'm 5' 7" 7/8ths & reckon that another 2" less would be a bit small. You can get lowering kits for sportys & they don't cost much. Good luck out there in the traffic.

PS get onto an advanced riding course, not only do they give you some good riding tips they do drum in good (traffic related) riding habits to live by.

Go ride a VROD and a Street Bob on the same day.

One has brakes and power and the other doesn't. You can work it out.

    enjoy!

OOps, you might be vertically challenged for the VROD? The ride position is more geared towards taller beings and even with reduced reach seat and bars you still may not be able to make it comfortable

I love my sporty, but I also do around 100 K's a day around trip to work... I'm also around your size and it suits me fine, but I'm having to fuel up on the way home every second day because of the small tank on them, it get's a bit annoying......But I still love it! :)

How much you willing ta spend?

On the height thing there's plenty of Harleys come in ' Low' models. The Deluxe was the lowest seat for years but there's many others now.

If yur heart's set on a HD then ride as many different models as you can. Your fave within yur budget sets the deal... doesn't everyone do this?

Myself I would buy a Haley Davidson Electra Glide but I'm bias.... but a dyna would be more for your height and weight ratio
