Hi all,

I thought I'd do the right thing and change my aftermarket rear indicators on my 72 FLH Shovel to something a little more appropriate and in line with the look of the bike.

The old indicators were small, in a diamond shape and had a single wire to the green and violet coloured indicator wires on the bike. The new indicators have two wires coming from each indicator. I played around with the bloody thing for hours without success.

Not only do the rear indicators not work but the front ones as well.

Any ideas would be welcome.

Flasher unit, globes wrong wattage???

do you have the 2nd wire to a good  earth on all 4 blinkers

Tried earthing the new rear indicators and no joy. Earth the front ones too? Obviously my auto electrical skills are lack luster at best.

Need indicators because most drivers are retarded...and I value my bike and my life.

I put new Badlands flasher unit on my shovel - found out the hard way that its easy to destroy a new flasher unit and on the second attempt I put in a 6 row fuse system between the flasher unit and everything else and now if I get a short its just a fuse to replace

New flasher unit in and problem fixed.
