Hi all.
I cant find too much direct related info regarding the breather bolt / oil issue. both here and the web
I went for a ride after work yesterday and noticed when I got home that there was several large drips of oil splattered on the pipes and on the oil carrier itself ( no it wasnt from checking the oil level prior to leaving)
Its always blown a "mist" while running but only enough to leave a greasy film on the back of the hypercharger filter case.
I dont imagine this to be normal and am leaning to some type of restriction / blockage cauing a pressure build up.
I am very close to changing cams and replacing the crappy tensioners ( waiting for parts from the states) If I have to go into the heads etc then ill do the 95 upgrade at the same time but I dont think its anything that drastic.................................anyones thoughts??????????
Matt
i updated my 2001 dyna to latest cam plate and oil pump no more oil spray out of air cleaner
cheers guys for your input.
I probably didnt explain my self well enough.
The oil is coming out of the bolt ( hollow bolt) that bolts the carby mount to the head and blowing onto back of aircleaner. Its not coming from the aircleaner itself.
as mentioned previously it was a mist now its dripping.
WTF
