What are people's thoughts on what is the best wet weather tyre, my dunlops seem to be like an ice skate, any help appreciated

 I went through a few sets of the 880's and was never really happy with them in the wet. 

I have ome ones on my new roadking, I think dunlops have gone through a lot of heavy rain and can't fault them. I have done 9000km and still plenty of tread on them.

Avon Venoms on both the FLs. But only130s and 150s on the later one. They handle anything that living in the tropics can throw at me.

I have Avon Venoms. They seemed good for about half their life then seemed to suddenly turn slippery.

 Pirelli night dragons on my sportster 10 times better than dun lopsdun lops

i`ve got avons on now and they are much better than the stock dunlops....

 Ended up getting a Dunlop 591, seems pretty good so far
