I have found a 99 dash and am wondering how it would go in my 85 (85 is a lay dwn dash with speedo and tach only) I thought the 99 speedo drive would run off the gearbox but the microfische shows it on the front wheel, anyone confirm this?

I had a 1998 FLHT and it was cable to the front wheel. Pretty sure (but not 100% sure) the 1999 was the same and they changed in 2000 to the gearbox.
