hi everyone planning a trip with a couple of mates starting gold coast heading out to roma then emerald then across to rocky or gladstone then down to hervey bay then home to coast, would like to know what road conditions alike  also places of interest to visit and also good places to stay thx any input would be app

Lots of roadworks on the Bruce up this way. Took me and the wife 3 1/2 hrs to get from Gin Gin back to Tannum a few months ago on the bikes. Much better off turning left at Miriam Vale and heading to Bundy. Get off the Bruce just past the big crab servo. (Miriam Vale's claim to fame) and head down the road towards Agnes Waters and 1770. Called Fingerboard Road. At the end of this road is a T junction, right to Bundy or left to Agnes and 1770, Both these are worth a look while that close. Slightly in the wrong direction but not that far. You can then come back along that road all the way to Bundy, Real old pub at Rosedale and a nice new tavern at Baffle creek going that way. Much beter ride than the highway and no hold ups.

 yeah got ya i havnt worked a full week since xmas at one stage there  i had worked 3 nights in 4 weeks

 Did a trip last year. Mackay to childers 10 hrs total!! Will be taking that turn at miriamvale next time also!

Expect to loose an hourwith road works from the bottom of the range out to Roma, reduced speed limits from near Oakey to Dalby.

 if ya go roma way to emerald make sure ya fill up at roma then top up at injune, about 90 ks out of roma heading to emerald ,its only 300 ks total but nearly all straight road and sittin on an easy 140 plus chews up fuel big time.  cheers  BRUSH 

 yeah got ya with the fuel specialy me being on a sporty ,might only be going to miles then to wondoan for the first night still not sure yet alot depends on accomadation as well.
