First post here, so here goes ,l have an 09 stripped dresser with the 103 kit which was fitted 3 years ago with a total klm,s at 16k. When the kit was fitted it came with SE 255 cams which for me and the V&H Pro pipe worked well . l was running at 85 hp and 100 trq, the only problem l've had is the starter banging once its hot with the extra compression. So  stuff this,  l'll fit a set of 583 S&S  eazy start cams, seeing as they are compatable with the 255',s . We get it dynoed, suspose to have come back with 91 hp and 101 trq. l usually do all my own work, but this was done in a shop due to time commitments , well what a peice of snot l've got now , it runs  rough in the lower revs, does not start to come on to you hit 3 k revs and is a peice of shit to ride. l had the service manager ring me telling me he felt that the engine was over cammed, so after getting it home from the shop and riding it for 10 klms lam starting to agree. Prior to buying these cams l did a bit of research and l expected a lot better resaults.

not trying to hi jack the thread, but nothing wrong with the S&S ES 585 cams look for a dyno that has an opperator that can tune. a bad tune can stuff your ride up. some bad combinations like compression ratio pipe choice cam choice TB size choice can make it harder to tune. some dyno's just try to find a map to suit your combination, but a good operator , tunner makes a custom map. but can take days to get them right. if a dyno opperator just does wide open throtle to test the tune & pints that out. then you get the bike ride it home how much of that trip will you be at wde open throtle? so the opperator tunner needs to tune at all throttle % ages add fuel here take out timming there & so on. also they can tune for  exhast temp as well as AFR. if you have ever watched a good tunner tune EFI on an engine dyno, you will understand what i mean. also the auto tune ECU's can be risky, plus they don't work like magic. i would expect a good dyno that makes a custom map to cost a minium of about $650 & take a full day at the least. if you think this is a rip off. you have not owned & maintained & opperated a dyno, more to it than that simple 4 letter word. but if you get a good custom tune the tunner would give you a number of custom maps you can add or remove for different situations.

Hi mate ,i have a 05 dyna and iv,e gone to 585 ezystart cams ,i had SE211,s in before but kept shitting starter clutches ,as i have 95cu 10.25 to 1 hi comp pistons and ported heads done by hallam boyz ,it puts out 93hp with over 100f/lb of torque, your 583 cams are fine they will bolt straight in ,you don,t need dynoing unless you want to no your hp gain etc ,as long as they have been properly installed your power commander ,electronic sensors etc will ajust automatically to any changes ,you might need to alter your main jet and go 1 size larger if you are nor fuel injected, hope this helps, SPEED
