Looks like I need a new hose....

    All you knowledgable people,

By chance I found I've got a hose that's let go and in need of replacement, looking from the right hand side of the bike, the hose can be found coming out of the throttle body and into the top of the rear cylinder....I think, I'm not very mechanical, but I know a little, please see the pictures and correct me where I'm wrong.

What I don't know, is what this hose would be transporting around the engine.  I know I won't be riding the bike again until I've replaced it, but I don't know what oils or fluid that I'll need to be replacing that's been escaping.

I'm going to have a hunt through the service manual to find a name and part number, but can anyone give me some hints as to what this is and what it does?

    Muchly appreciated!

Ok, having a look through the service manual, it appears to me that it's the rear cylinder breather hose, so at least it's just an air hose.... Unless someone would like to correct me?

Of to see if it can be replaced as an individual component

Just about to head that way Allde ;) The service manual has been a good guide, but there's no real reference to the hose.... I'll see how I go

Part # 29505-05 Breather Tube, rear That's for the 2010 VRSC Models, probably the same for your bike.

Bought myself a Parts Manual online for $15, confirmed that the rear breather hose is the same part number as the Muscle, so you were spot on Allde. An dnow I have my own parts manual too ;)

Rear breather hose replaced this evening, a whole of $15 later :p Took me the whole of 15 minutes to achieve it too. Then the bike was back on the Zippers for a run through the IAC cycle and idling smooth and a kittens purr AWESOME!

Thanks again to allde for the assistance ;)
