Just looking at the front fender on my 79 fxs lowrider and think that the rods that secure the fender to the forks are ugly. Just seeing if anyone has played around with them to make them more simple like a wide glide fender?

Also how rare is this kind of bike these days? Should i be modding it or is it a bike worth restoring to stock form one day?

 they made a lot of 1979 shovels  not very rare , custom were you like   heeps of people have already been there over the years

Yeah thats what i thought. Read somewhere they were the best selling harley for years in their day. Was just curious as i havn't seen many advertised. Cheers mate.

Ah yeah, might have a play around with 'the mudguard' haha and see what i can come up. Then again i have too much time on me hands at the moment and am looking at springer front ends even tho it will probably never happen! haha Yeah the fxwg is a better look without doubt!
