Thought I'd post this here, this saturday there will be a few sportsters Racing in NSW Track Championship Street Bike class , i see there are a few Sportsters entered, daddyracer56 & i will be racing so if anyone interested would be good to see you there & could enter in next round. i'm just doing it for fun, never raced in first round. it's easy just do a qualifying pass 9 you get three or four) then you will have an idea what time you can run easy, then elimination's start, you dial in any time you like, but if you go quicker than the time you dial in, thats a break out so unless your opponent fouls the start ( red light ) if you break out on u dial in you loose. everyone has the same chance of winning thats why i like it it's hard to win but if you do it's fun, if you don't still fun. & you get to go flat out on your bike no cops no speed limit. i might have a spare pass if anyone want to come look could pm me
cheers
To night at track practicing the Frazers sportster 1200 was runing 11.7 113mph 1.7. 60ft. I was runing 12.7. 107mph 1.9 60ft still getting used to the Buell & stock cams I done a good pass last pass of night off a pro tree but I fouled (red lighted ) & the time & speed did not register at all. I'm shifting slow pulling clutch in could cut 3 tents off my time clutch less shifting but not worried just practice. Was another twin cam EFI going strong &frazers 120r doing 11.2. 123mph with daddyracer56. On that bike would be in 10's, also was a big dresser from framers with ape hangers doing big burnout s not sure on the time.
It would be great to see the sportsters racing. Let us know how you go. And get some one to take lots of photos.
I will cheer you on.

At first i was a bit unsure what i thought of this new Street bike class in NSW track championship series. but now i have thought about it it is a better class for the sport than the Screamin egle class was. but i loved racing other street Harleys that were same as mine. & in it's hey day when Morgan & Wacker sponsored SE class @ Willowbank Raceway it was the best ever & i was lucky enough to have ridden up from Sydney to race then road home on same bike i raced. Eather lucky or Crazy . but i enjoyed it. now i'm almost 65 & still enjoying it just have more time too.
anyway if i knew how to add a link here i would. but does not seem to happen when i try. so i'll explain how you all can see qualifying times & elimination results as they post them up online. also what you have to understand if you have never had a go at this or have yet to try your hand down the quarter mile. is. We all stuff up once in a while, as no one is perfect, you might see a slower time than you expected a bike would do. but one missed shift or a poor start or lost traction or wheelstand efects your time. but it's bracket racing ( bloody hard! ) but also if it was easy i would not try it.
here is how you can see times and results, but they don't post as it happens maybe it will be the next day like say Sunday 14th before you can see.
Go to Western Sydney International Dragway sight do a google, once your up on the sight, go to top of page one of the links is results, you click that then list drops look at 2013 NSW Championship series, then look at 13th April there will be Qualifying thats the best time & speed each of us has done on the day, we get three qualifying pass's, then look at eliminations if you keep winning you move to next round, each round gets harder, as first round if you win you only had to race a looser LOL second round and each one after, you have a winner to beat so gets harder each round. till final thats the hardest. also when you look at results you will have to scrole through all the class's just look for Street Bike or SB or maybe S/B
just hope i'm not a first round looser LOL
hey if any of you interstate want to race that would be great as these events are one day & held on a saturday so only need a day off work trailer or ride there friday & home with the Trophy tyed to your handle bars like Marlon Brando in the movie Wild One.
Hey Krash here's a link to the results page.

Would be fun to watch the sporty's down the strip.
Slap.
Thanks Slap, that was last round, round one , today round two , the boys from frazers were having there first race that meet were a lot improved wednesday night. should be fun prob see results tomorrow or monday
that buell that is in last round results was an 88 inch only getting used to it, my ol buell stock sportster cams but i love it
Hayden Smith won it on a Frazers bike so well done! just not sure if he was on there Sporty or on the Dyna 120R
but daddyracer56 was in final too and got beat by a (please excuse ) cunt hair 0.001 of a second, so two Frazers Bikes in daddyracer56 was on there wide glide with 120R motor & registered a trap speed of 145mph ( about 232kph metric ) trap speed standing quarter , thats flying but to me don't add up as a HD doing 145MPH standing Quarter means your WIDE OPEN throtle & should only take 9's not the 10.3 daddyracer56 told me he was doing but well done to daddyracer56 he is in pain from old bike accidents & still giving the young guys a run for there $
Also more power to HD japans finest sports bikes where in it too but two HD's in final how good is that!!!!
we have been put into the nitro championships on may 3rd in the race bike class on street harleys 3 days of fun, we do not even have a tacho on board letalone a shift light
