Hi guys, a few of us South Aussies are planning a road trip in the next couple weeks, and I was wondering if there was a thread here relating to what essential tools would be reccommended.
Would HD or other bike shops would stock tool kits to take with you on road trips. No one likes to be stuck on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere.
I have an emergency tyre repair kit that i plan on taking with me, but I sadly can't take my whole tool cabinet from home with me
Cheers Ash.
A bit hard if you dont have phone coverage, or credit card.
Tools?
They will be the few on the jappas.
Take some duct tape and CRC. If it is loose, use the tape and if it's stiff, use the CRC
Not all of us are telstra customers, or like to use credit cards.
dont own a credit card,, never have,,, pends where u plan to go to, (how far and for how long) harley sells em page 798 2013 cata

Hey Careyman, thanks for your post regarding tool kits. I have most of those tools already in my tool cabinet at home. Bit of a waste of money to lash out $ for tools which I otherwise have.
All I would really need would be just a tool bag, which can be fitted to the fork legs just below the bottom triple tree.
Would the likes of Peter Stevens stock just the tool bag on its own?
a good quality pair of pliers with cutters, fence wire will get you home.......................
Cheers Hmmm2, thanks for the advice, I certainly will take it onboard.
Back in the day - 60-70's and possible 80's I had a pretty full tool kit. With the side car on the Sturgis even had a car jack! Now with the '05 Couch I have the HD tool kit plus tire repair kit + cash/card.
Break downs are limited in this day and age. Travel with mates and it all works out OK!!
Burnzi, good bit of bush mechanic skills mate, did you tell her that the cow shit would wipe off in the grass if she went for a little walk?
