Looks very similar to the marketing campaign for the iron as well. Overall it doesn't look bad at all and I you really weren't a HD person it would br a good buy

You can use this link, I just cut/pasted the original one and put the hyperlink on using the editing features above the text box when replying. It's the icon that looks like a section of chain in the second row of editing options.

Cheers for the heads up on the new Yam bike.  Reminds me of the SR250 they had back in the day to look like a cruiser.....

    Horses for courses etc...

On the pics and lack of logos they seem to be desperately trying to say "pretend it's a Harley". And I only had a quick look, but doesn't that tank look fucking awful when viewed anything but side on?

wont have as many factory or aftermarket options as a HD, but i bet it'll be much better built and refined. I'd like to know who it performs with pipes, air cleaner and tune....

I agree with Motor head, for anyone that's seen the marketing for the iron, it's a blatant copy, same kinda action shots and lighting lol....

Bike don't look toooooo bad I guess, depends what it costs and what you can afford. My 1st bike the Yamaha virago was a sweet little ride for the money

+1. Copy the bike then copy the advertising.

Might be a cheap "entry level" bike for those starting out.

Personaly I think if they wanted to do a bobber style, they could have used the XVS 650 (LAMS) or 1100 like the "Destino" bikes.

Me and a couple of mates pulled up to a pub one day on our sportsters , as we were leaving a guy came out and started to ask us about the bikes , what we liked about them , how they rode etc etc , after about 10 minutes he mentioned how he had a Honda VT 750 bobber , , he carried on saying how he had put new pipes on it to give it that Harley sound , he had changed lights and handlebars , to give it that Harley look ......... I thought this was starting to sound familiar and then it hit me , it was like that ad on tv for the VW GOLF and that's when I turned to him and and 'looks like a Harley sounds like a Harley but its NOT A HARLEY' , this will be the problem with any Jap bike trying to be a harley look alike and as we all know 'its a life style' :) but still happy to see the bobber style coming back into fashion and attracting new riders

It looks great for a Yamaha cruiser, compared to their others.  But then again it should look great, it's a blatant Sportster rip off.

This is great marketing for HD. People will buy the Bolt, ride it for a while then buy a Harley.

Thanks Yamaha....nice looking ride and will increase HD sales within 12 months of release.

Copying the bike is one thing...the japs have been doing that for decades. The blatant rip off of the ad is pretty lame. The way it is shot, the scenes, even the one where he parks it rear to the kerb is a direct copy of the iron ad from Harley. Can't wait to pull up next to one at a set of lights....
