Just got my new TTS from M&M Cycle. In a sealed box.
Read thought the directions, I'm using the cables supplied with it. I As soon as I hooked it up, turned on the ignition and then got the ECM info it came up with "Vehicle Not Matched" in the lock status field. I had no idea what that meant so I proceeded to save my original calibration as per the instructions. Got that done with no problems.
I can save the factory calibration and restore it but when I try to upload a canned map I get a message “ The interface has been locked to a different vehicle and cannot be programed”
Well I'm stuffed now I have the stage1 on and the pipes so I'm not keen to ride it without programming the ECM.
The only thing I've done is change the bikes pin number to one I can remember,
Anyone have a clue to what might have gone wrong?

I'll give the pin a try but I can't see that would have caused it. It's frustrating as I wanted to give it a run with one of the 2013 maps
No good, still saying it's locked to another vehicle. Bugger
Aready in progress. Also sent a email off to TTS in the hope one of the other techs can help me out.
I'm thinking it might have something to do with the new model (2013) I read they have a different ECM.

Just had a thought.I saved the original cal twice. The first time I named it fatboy1. Then I noticed in the instructions it is reccomended to leave the file name as the default (which is the VIN number).
So i saved it again and left the file name as the VIN. When I restored the cal I used the VIN file not the fatboy1 file.
Also got a fault the first time I tried to progarm a base cal that the battery voltage was too low. It terminated the programming at that point
I wonder if this is where my troubles lie.
Here's a update,
I got onto Steve but there's not alot he can do as I bought it from M&M.
I got onto Mark from M&M and he explained he thinks it could be the ECM has locked me out. He said it doesn't happen often however has happened in the past and if in fact that's what's occured in this particular case I'll need to get it reprogrammed by the dealer.
To his absolute credit and faith in my honesty he will send me a new unit to try. If that one doesn't work then it will be a trip to Perth HD.
I live my life believing in the old adage "what goes around comes around" It has paid off for me many times in the past and has worked again this time.
I'm 100% that adage will apply to Mark and Linda from M&M Cycle down the track.
I can't speak highly enough of them. A great company to do business with.
This is good I'm getting some options here. Mark telling me the ECM could be locked, Carbon with the main fuse pull. I'll try the fuse now and see what happens.
I can save and restore both the Vin Numbered cal and the one named Fatboy. On another forum a chap told me you can do that on any bike with the same tts tuner it's only when your trying to program a new map the correct tuner needs to be attached

Don't know if this will be of any help mate , BUT Year or 2 ago i was fitting a TTS up to a 2007 Heritage for a guy, (at my place with my laptop !) He had pissed off his troublesome Thundermax himself before we did so . I wasn't game to touch the bike and he had installed the Tmax himself previously anyways . He had ridden 3 k's to my house from his , after the bike sitting for weeks as he had been crook. I started the process , and a ways into it I got a " bike low battery voltage " warning on the TTS screenpage on the laptop. Then I was "frozen out" and the bike was a non starter. Spent half of a Sunday on the bastard with no joy !! Monday sent it to Frasers by Bikelifters ( $100 !) where the "corrupted ECM" had to be " re-written " by the Frasers Digitech ( another $100 !)
Principally they had to "re-write" the VIN into the ECM and reflash with a "stock" 2007 Softail Calibration . Bike was started and ridden 20 K's + back to my place on the "re-newed" stock ECM , I then pulled the headlamp fuse AND put my trickle charger on the bastard . Belt and fucking braces approach !! No more low battery voltage !! The same TTS unit fired up first time , all 100% sweet , saved the stock Cal and downloaded a stage 1 Cal , bike runs sweet as a nut now ! Now EVERY time I connect TTS to my own bikes ( I have 2 ) and all my mates and associates whom I have switched to TTS , I pull the headlamp fuse and connect up a trickle charger . A hard lesson learned . Hopefully this will have been of help to you ?
Ok after lots of thought this is my plan.
I went to Perth HD (great bunch of guys) and picked their brains. Had a look at the sert pro. Same connections as the TTS. From what I've read the TTS was a sert until 2007.
Decided to send the unit back to Mark. Apparently they can reset them at the factory so I'm hoping Steve does Mark a favour and credits him for the returned Tuner. That way Mark won't be out of pocket.
When I get the new unit. Make sure the headlight fuse is out and she's on the tender as per Retroman's instructions
Seeing I've got the existing cal saved I'll go straight to programming a base map. It should save the original as Steve has said on the forums.
If it don't work it's off to Perth HD for a reprogam of the ECM. Then I should be good to go. Hopefully I won't need that trip to Cannington.

Well the plan went out the window,
Got a SEPRT on the Saturday and programmed the bike with no problems what so ever.
Can't haver been the ECM. I must have stuffed the tuner some how.
The SEPRT has lots to play with however the TTS definately has the edge in available options. Also noticed the afr tables in the TTS are bigger and more detailed. I will definately be hooking up the replacement TTS when it gets here.
Just hope that's possible after programming with the SEPRT.
What Retro says is valid, both tuner programmes come from the same stable, they both are simply tools to let an experienced "Tuner" do his work.
Understanding tuning basics and principles should be a pre-requisit for anyone attempting to use any interface/programme to edit the files that run an ECM.
As far as the AFR tables go, I'm pretty sure you'll find that the SEPRT allows you to expand the tables to what ever size you want.
Here I am 18 months on. Fitted 255 cams myself and have just finished Vtuning. I had some lean 02 sensor readings in the 2000-5500 rpm 95 and 100 map range. Sorted that out with some 5% increases in the VE's in the corresponding cells. I got some advice from Mr Wizard and Ultranutz in the states. I've flashed many cals with out a hitch. Done can data runs, vtune runs checking for lean conditions, WOT pulls. All without any problems.
I definately had a dud tuner. Only thing I've done differently is make sure my battery is charged.
