Give the chaps at Doc Hogs in bayswater a call.

Also Eastern Big Twin Performance are in the same area and are site Sponsors.

do any of these shops have a flow bench or is it all guess work & what ever looks good should do

don't mean to sound negative but if a jobs worth doing its worth doing properly

    great info...thanks Kiwi!.

your most likely right as most of the shops i have been in do not have the gear i would expect them to have for any serious engine work - milling machine etc etc

Thanks Kiwi and dyno, the moorrrabbin one is close to me so I might check him out, failing that the beacons field guy sounds good too, geelongs a bit far but thanks for the info anyway.

Ps. Raino's business next to c& c in Dandenong has closed down, a sad day I must say.

no doubt you have decomps but that's still gotta be hard on the starter I would have thought.

Dyno, sounds like you have some serious mods done to engine, I've been looking at the Woods cams they seem to look pretty good, how have you found yours? Did you get it from US or a dealer here, are you runing aftermarket came plate, oil pump, maybe we could meetup some time and talk engine mods over a bourbon or two, the more people I speak to the more I learn, cheers, G.

Got a set of Woods 9F's , been sitting in the cupboard for over 2 yrs now.
Noisy, hard on valve train. My 107 @ 10.8:1 comp and R&R heads made 116hp.
Always wondered about these 103,106 and 107 builds claiming 120+hp. Not entirely realistic is my opinion.

I just bolted a set of R&R's latest heads to my engine, changed out the HPI 55mm for a HPI 62mm, HPI 6.2gps injectors, added 1.7 ratio rockers on the inlets. S&S 640 gear drives.Needs to be tuned now.
With old style heads at 11.75:1 comp, we went 135/130. I'd expect the new combo at 11.5:1 comp to reach 140hp.
Seems you n I have travelled a similar path.
    My engine is a S&S 4.5" stroke with an Axtell 4.125" bore= 120ci
I do enjoy tweaking the engine, gets pricey though.
