What part of Melbourne?

Doc Hogs in Bayswatervhave treated me well in the past. HD Dev in town know their stuff too (I found them pricey but they are good)

I live in bayside, closer to inner city would be great

Cheers boys, I ended up taking to Colt at HD Dev on Thursday, worked out well as I work in the city and dropped it off in the morning and picked it up at the end of the day.

Not really, it was $100 less than quotes from Heaven and City. It's still a lot of money I feel to change oil in 3 holes, sparks and go over the bike. But what the options? And these blokes really know Harleys.
To ride for an hour across town to weribee or fern tree gully to save $70-$90 and kill the whole day is not worth it for me.
There are not enough choice and completion hence prices are high.
The next oil change and filter one of my mates will do for me at his house.

Just make sure your mate goes over everything, Harley's are renouned for bolts coming loose. An experienced mechanic should know which ones are common etc. I have found almost every bike I have seen for the first time I end up spending atleast an hour going over bolts and finding so many loose. This also includes neck bearing adjustments, I cannot believe how many of those I find under adjusted!

I am in Melbourne now after a ride around Victoria turned sour on account of a mate's bike playing up.

My bike is also having a couple of minor dramas with a check engine light, high idle, a few bolts that have vibrated out and lost and a speedo I can't get working again. I dont have my laptop and diagnostic cable with me to check the Fault code/s I'm staying in Kew for the night.

Harley heaven in ringwood might be the closest. Where else is around as I need to get the bike sorted tomorrow?
