Sorry to hear about "Pearl". I have a thing for white Road Kings...post up a photo when you can. Handlebars are a personal choice, but I reckon HD are making a killing selling the Heritage Bars for tourers. I bet they put the stock Road King bars on knowing full well they are rubbish and people like you and I will change them over regardless. Anyway....next project??

Here is the new bike "Candy" with the Heritage bars fitted.... only just arrived home, though gotta take her back tomorrow as rear brake doesnt appear to be working at full strength... there is no way it would stop me if I needed it to with just the rear brake, pedal is as hard as a rock! but I know I wont have any trouble as the blokes in at HH are bloody fantastic as a rule... I couldnt reccomend them highly enough really.... well at least for me that has been the case both for the last bike I got from them and now this one....

That looks great canetoad. Is that brand spanking new?

Throwing 16" apes on mine in the next couple of weeks, bars have arrived just waiting in cabling etc.

Sure is spanking new Deadwood, did 200klm this morning so have 235Klms on her and for our first ride out Candy and I had a cager try and take our highway spot, candy bleated her little heart out but to no avail so had to take evasive action by dropping her nose to the tar to let them have that space (bloody close) so we are gonna increase the bleat to a roar with an air horn once more!! plus we met a few damn fine sized kangaroos jumping across the road along the Toolen Vale Rd, then the 20k of gravel road was also fun some corners got us dancing and doing the shimmey shake eh.... so all in all an exciting days ride!!

Bill its strange cause I've actually forgotten how good they are. The Heritage Bars are so natural and comfy, shame on HD for putting on the stock RK bars.

Yes I gotta say that the heritage bare are much more comfortable, though have changed my riding style a bit.... the brake issue was just that I hadnt given them enough time to bed in, ... so all good now, brakes are working as they should.

Yep just fitted heritage bars to my new ride, a  2009 road king, took around an hour and 2 beers start to finish, no other parts needed,, much better ride position, have not done a long ride yet the weather is crapp.

    Cheers Rod

Real good mate, loving mate. Got a trip with the trouble and strife down the Great Ocean Rd this weekend then off to Dubbo in a fortnight after that so those 2 runs will be the furthest she's been and a good test. Haven't been out much with this bloody weather!

hi guys anyone shopped around other sites for these style of bars ? looked on Burleigh bars but couldn't see any looking like these im 180 cm so this set looks the goods the only thing I have to decide on is do I go with the soft tail delux or the roady I think I've decided on the touring style for flexibility my first option was the breakout but I don't think that would real comfy on but cheeks after a few hours in the sadle

Have a look at the Flanders Bars range on this website. I imported a set for my Roady from them. All good.
