    Good evening!!

Just a quick question - Does anyone have a write up or can you advise of the tooling required to remove the stock exhaust and then install a V&H Short Shots?

Looking to complete this tomorrow. Do I need to undo a valve also?

Chris - Sorry mate I was listening but just want it so I can look back if I get stuck.

Just take your time. I have a mate who's pipes were a tight squeeze and he damaged (maybe the fins) paint ramming them on, then he had to remove them the next week and was pissed off to see me slip them on without resorting to violence :P Everything does slip on quite nicely if you fiddle and angle things, so don't go forcing shit.

No worries Mark...as Bonkerz says, take your time.

Plenty of blue tape on the heat shields, nice blanket to put on the ground to sit you pipes on. Maybe even your misses to help lift the stock pipes off. And all the stuff we all know already...torque em up slowly etc.

Bit of anti seize on the oxy sensor threads. Have fun!

Make sure you have new crush gaskets or you will get an exhaust leak (I know).

Make sure you tighten the flanges/head nuts before you toque down the bottom chassis bolts.

Check for clearance everywhere as contact from the exhaust to other parts of the bike will drive you crazy.

Make sure you loctite (blue=med) all the bolts.

    Get a pair of earplugs.

And if the manual says it, anti seize or never seize. Just be careful coz that shit gets everywhere...

I fitted the V&H this morning and I love it!!! Complete with a set of BCT baffles to reduce the noise a little.. Along with some new black mirrors.

Just got to get the new handlebars fitted and some parts painted black and I'll be a happy man! All in a mornings work..

Retuned as in how? I didnt know I needed that.. What does it consist of?

Seems fine to me, maybe a little poppy now and then but I just thought it was the exhaust that caused that?

Excuse my ignorance but this is my first HD
