Just after anyones experiences with buying custom K parts and where to get em?

Checked out the home site and have the US prices from there, the problem being that they use UPS for shipping (exe) and won't supply a shipping quote.

I'd like to find somewhere that will use USPS flat rate boxes (cheapest shipping from the states) or somewhere in Australia that will match the OS prices.

I see the home site has free shipping within the US and will use this to ship to a mte and have him resend to me if i can't find a simpler way.

Checking prices with my local HD shop today, but i don't hold out much hope. I need about $500 of handlebar controls bling.

MandMCycles is the way to go ... have got a few things from them of late and so far bloody brillant service and price wise again so far after paying for parts and shipping cost was way cheaper than here .

I will always buy here first if price is compareable and have done so but on the big ticket items , as long as they are under $1000.00 they are the go for me ... example a nice shiny 6 piston PM caliper matched to a 13" Fully Floating chrome rotor was no cheaper than $1160.00 here , some places dearer ... delivered here will be $850.00 ... $310.00 saving for me to spend on other goodies seems like common sense to me .

One thing i found though is they like to use fed Ex which are unbeliveably quick ... my pipes turned up 6 days after ordering them ... but you have to have somewhere for the goods to be delivered and signed for , which is no problem unless you work for a boss who dosent want your personal goods coming through his warehouse and if there is no one at home to sign for them they go back to the local warehouse for you to arrange to pick up , which in my case was right near the Brisbane Airport which if anyone has ever been near is a fair muck around ... i organised a neighbour to sign for my pipes i got through them ... a saving of $190.00 after freight by the way .

The S&S AirFilter and Fancy Cover i got delivered to a post box address through UPS which they also use but do take a week or 2 longer , no problems as far as i was concerned ... a saving of $150.00 on those goods .

But for all the good stories i imangin there are just as many bad ones , so as the old saying goes ... buyer beware ... and do your research , it would be a bit of a pick to return something i would think .

I have bought Kuryakyn parts through Rollie's last September, great service and prompt delivery even interstate. Fortunately for me they had all parts on the shelf except 1, and they had to order it from the states, so it took a week or so to arrive here, which didn't bother me.

Well this ended up being a happy news story. Prices from my local harley shop came back at less than $30 over nearly $600 worth of parts listed on the Kuryakyn home site as retail.

That'll do me, it would cost me at least that much for delivery from the states. Well done to the aussie distributor for being within $2 nearly all items.

You don't get to see this much and it's good for them to get a pat on the back now and then. Well done to Bikes and Bits in Tamworth too for not gouging me.

As an aussie distributor of a product my self it's good when we get a pat for doing the right thing even though we don't have to.

Gidday Punkin ... thats good news about local fella being just about as cheap as overseas ... as said above i will and have brought local but on some things just not worth the overprice being put on such goods .

Do you know if Bikes & Bits Tamworth have a website and if they do mail orders because if they have other products with simurlar good prices then i will definitly give them a go , definite pat on the back for them .

well i am all fore local buying but when thay stuff you around for weeks on end and a few days turn in to 4mths you tend to lose faith in them and start looking around ,ias we all know parts are normalley dearer in oz than the us an i am sure we have all bent over buy some speed shops, or dealers at some time in, 7mths back i was getting prices for a kraftech frame from the states and oz i allmost went with a big local supplier dealer but thay didnt have it in stockwas going to take 6 to 8 weeks to get it and a few extra parts and on the morning i was going to ring them with my cc details i thought i will shot a email off to mca motorcycle parts never used them before heard there name on this forum i had a email back 2 hours later seen the price went that has to be wrong re cent a email asking if that was the right price yes it was and thay had the frame in stock the frame was $250.00 cheeper to my door than the other aussie dealer and i had the frame in 5 days from them the extras i needed thay got in and sent them out in 2 1/2 weeks , as i writen in other posts i have been buying a few parts from sam at harley haven the parts are at the right price and there on to getting the parts out to you  as fast as thay get them again get them cheaper to my door than a local dealer at the end of the day its your hard earned cash it pays to shop around and with a bit of time and the power of the interweb you can and will save coin
