Nothing better than organising a ride somewhere and then heading off in the totally opposite direction for a while, funny watching everyone behind you looking at each other as if I have lost the plot. Love finding new roads to take and hate riding the same road there and back.

Sometimes you have to, but not if I have my way!

And the only unhappy Harley riders are the ones with their bike on blocks.

imo the better you plan beforehand , the more likely that the journey will be enjoyable ..... if that makes sense .....

Good question... I'll often zone out on a trip and just enjoy being on the bike for a great ride. The destination is never the point, just a means for a ride.

Journey for me ... riding on new roads is allways a blast , as long as i dont break down or get booked , seems to put a downer on that road for awhile after , Lol .

A desteration is allways a good reference point but the ride itself is what it is all about in my book anyhow ... and Tim S.G. what is 42 , Lol .

Both journey and destination is important , but with no real set plan in between , bar the wind in ya face , lifes what ya make of it but has it`s hurdles and has been known to be a bit of a bitch at times though theres always someone that`s doin it tougher , ride free !

Davutch asked the meaing of life . In Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy , there was the search for The Meaning of Life , The Universe , and Everything . The answer , was 42 !

In my opinion it's the journey, and company of your mates that is most important. I sure have more fun riding with others than riding alone. The destination is just the means for a ride, and it doesn't matter if you end up somewhere totally opposite to where you planned. Some people like my wife ask me "where are you going?" My usual reply is "wherever the road takes me".

If the destination is a long way , its the destination ,if you can find a longer way with better roads to get there its the journey .. Unlike some i seen today , I actually took a a sunday off from riding , , today mainly because i've just spent 2 weeks riding round NSW and vic , went down to semaphore with the kids , while they were playing on the park , lots of bikes went past but 3 dudes in paticular rode past me , no bullshit at LEAST 20 times ,, could'nt believe it i was pissing myself laughing , .

Wife could'nt see why i thought it was funny that these guys had spent thousands on harleys , to just put there skull masks on and ride up and down a familly beach , Me thinks sons of anarchy show has a lot to answer for

It's a no brainer it's the journey but having said that no matter what the journey is theres always got to be a destination, and on a big journey there are some insane and memorable stops on the way, who out there hasn't after a day in the saddle being assailed by the sights of your ride and the sound of your bike washing over you, pulled up at a lonely country pub, and walked inside acknowleging the glances that come your way  as you move toward the bar then order that beer and pour it straight down your neck with the biggest shit eating grin spreading accross your face and thinking FUCK YEAH what a top day, and that beer and the rest were just the icing on the cake because they were a part of the ride too.

I don't give a toss for the meaning of life, each day you wake up and can ride your bike is a bonus.

We're hear for a good time not a long time.

No there are no unhappy Harley riders just some unhappy people who own a Harley.

Always remember lifes short so play hard.

Hey Boxa I'm a Semaphore local, the esplanade is nice for a bit of a cruise if ya heading to Outer Harbour or have just come from that way, but yeah 20 times in one afternoon is just overkill, and I'd think they were fucking posers. A couple of us live on the Lefevre Peninsula, so keep a lookout in the SA Rides section, it would be great to meet you on one of our country rides one day.
