well i wanna know is it the destination or the journey its gotta be the ride hey and what really is the meaning of life whats your version
and why are we here
and are there really any unhappy harley riders
well well
Nothing better than organising a ride somewhere and then heading off in the totally opposite direction for a while, funny watching everyone behind you looking at each other as if I have lost the plot. Love finding new roads to take and hate riding the same road there and back.
Sometimes you have to, but not if I have my way!
And the only unhappy Harley riders are the ones with their bike on blocks.
Here goes -
1. Both
2. 42
3. Can,t work that out .
4. Some , can,t please em all .
Good question... I'll often zone out on a trip and just enjoy being on the bike for a great ride. The destination is never the point, just a means for a ride.
Davutch asked the meaing of life . In Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy , there was the search for The Meaning of Life , The Universe , and Everything . The answer , was 42 !
In my opinion it's the journey, and company of your mates that is most important. I sure have more fun riding with others than riding alone. The destination is just the means for a ride, and it doesn't matter if you end up somewhere totally opposite to where you planned. Some people like my wife ask me "where are you going?" My usual reply is "wherever the road takes me".
It's a no brainer it's the journey but having said that no matter what the journey is theres always got to be a destination, and on a big journey there are some insane and memorable stops on the way, who out there hasn't after a day in the saddle being assailed by the sights of your ride and the sound of your bike washing over you, pulled up at a lonely country pub, and walked inside acknowleging the glances that come your way as you move toward the bar then order that beer and pour it straight down your neck with the biggest shit eating grin spreading accross your face and thinking FUCK YEAH what a top day, and that beer and the rest were just the icing on the cake because they were a part of the ride too.
I don't give a toss for the meaning of life, each day you wake up and can ride your bike is a bonus.
We're hear for a good time not a long time.
No there are no unhappy Harley riders just some unhappy people who own a Harley.
Always remember lifes short so play hard.
My destination is always `home an alive , the journey that eventuates in between is for the road and those for which i choose to travell !
Hey Boxa I'm a Semaphore local, the esplanade is nice for a bit of a cruise if ya heading to Outer Harbour or have just come from that way, but yeah 20 times in one afternoon is just overkill, and I'd think they were fucking posers. A couple of us live on the Lefevre Peninsula, so keep a lookout in the SA Rides section, it would be great to meet you on one of our country rides one day.
