Just doing a new biuld on my 2012 fatbob.

I have Kirby Apathy from veetwin racing doing the machine work and using his reommendations for my build.

My build consists of 103ci bored to 107ci

wiseco pistons.

Compreshion set at 10.75 :1

HPI 58mm throttle body with 1.760 runners

Yellow band injectors.

S&S 625 cam

S&S roller rockers .

S&S adjustable pushrods

Stage 2 head work with throttle body set up to suit.

Bandit sportsman clutch .

Already have thundermax & D&D Fatcat , redshift cam chain tenshioner and S&S Stealth high flow air cleaner.

He recon's that this combination readly gets over 120HP .

Any opinun on this combination??

Should be a nice ride if you can get it tuned right.
Fuel quality, heat control and timing will be the keys
Kirby puts out some pretty descent work.

The only thing I know about the Thunder Max is the mates bike seems to change every other day

Make sure he sends it in several boxes or you may get hit with GST and duties

Landie, Kirby does top shelf work and it will rip,,,,,,,, blow them stage IV builds away

A good tune and you will be laughing with 91octane if ya need to use it

I have got onto Zippers for a base mape but no responce so far.

Any advise on tuners around GoldCoast or Bisbane that may be able to sort out a good base map for this combo??

I am still waiting for the gear from Kirby but good things come for those that wait.

Talk to Fred at ProCycle up at slacks creek about tuning, however he is not a fan of the thundermax from memory.
Wont the thundermax auto tune from your base map?

The thundermax will only work if the tune is close to the base map that you load into it.

I now am running a 575 Redshift cam and standard throttle body ..

The cam lift is a heap more and i am pumping a heap more fuel into the bike .

More commpreshion, different cam , more fuel, better heads . The tune i have now won't even be close .way out of the thundermax auto tune range.

I need a new base map that is close to the lift and fuel & timing  that i will need . Then yes the thundermax should do the fine tuning that it is ment to do. Will have to wait and see if they are what they say they are.

Dark horse crank balanced and trued.
Timken bearings
Fueling oil pump and cam plate.
All i need is a good builder to put the bottom end together?
Any suggestions i live on the Gold coast.

after seeing mine today you should easily get over 120

same clutch you will like it feels just like stock on the leaver. the recommendation for oil seem real low but I have continued to add oil eack ride and it hasn't started dragging yet.

think about cooling mine runs hot as a bitch

Have you looked at the oil coolers that oil bud does, the reviews seem pretty good but they are expensive ?
Will have to get one as well, So any suggestions will be good.
I have already got the oil pump and cam plate on its way, so will run with that.
The first box of gear from Kirby has turned up and looks good .
Still waiting for the heads and throttle body, Roller rockers injectors pushrods and a few other bits to turn up.
I have only just sent order form to Dark horse so that will take a couple of weeks.
still need to find someone to put together and do timken conversion for me, Any suggestions ????

hilly or hmmm2 may know of machine shops to help mate.
I have the HD oil cooler and waiting on a fan to come for it.
I was going to get a 10 row jagg but the shipping cost was bullshit
