    Hi all....My fatboy low has 30mm sag under its own weight.I want to reduce the sag.At the moment money is tight,I was thinking of putting a plastic PVC spacer ontop of the springs for a temporary fix until my cash free's up and buy some proper fork kits.I remember doing this 30 odd years ago on one of my dirt bike and all was good.Im wondering if this is doable on the Fatboy low without loosing fork travel or anything else that could cause problems.

     you would have too put a nice fitting washers both side's top & bottom of the spacer,   i use steel tubing not pvc , either way have thenm machined down in a lathe both the same lenght ,  but no worries  i also machine chrome mag wheel air fittings into the fork crown nut's  & run up too 12-17 lbs air with a push bike pump  , + i would also change the fork oil too a little up weight

    adjust it with 20 cent coins to which ever ride height you want, 30 mm is about 10 coins. having said that i put in the progressive coils in the front of mine and the heaviest fork oil and i love it (((-;

     progressive spring's are too soft  with there dual rate , a straight rate spring like race tech is better

    Find a set of valve springs out of a old cars head and drop them in this turns ya forks into a proggressive spring, they will compress first and then act as shims to firm it all up

    I am not keen on the idea of putting air into the forks as you have more chance of blowing fork seals, I would only fit vavles to blead air out

    I have run 1.5" long solid brass spacers on top of the springs for years. Works well in my opinion.

    you have to match up the damper oil weight as well as the spring rate otherwise you will be over sprung & under damped, or visa versa
