Turn Signal Wire Rubbing

I initially thought that my rear turn signal bulb needed replaced but I've since found out the problem is actually the turn signal wires have rubbed against the tire. I've had to tuck them out the way for now.

The bike has only done 3000kms and is at standard height - Surelly this shouldnt have happened, especially so soon? Question is, will this come under warrenty??

Also, would they fit the 2013 ones to my bike instead if I asked since they come in black and can do away with the tail light.

Your gonna have a hole to fill up in the rear fender if you ditch the limp dick light. I pulled mine out to give it a coat of basic black and found that was the case. Looks like the wiring wasnt seated properly and came free from the keeper. It's always good to run a spanner , and a set of eyes over a new bike. Is everything still working light wise?

Did you ever check the rear shock spring preload ?
If you're a big bloke, and the preload is set on minimum, it could cause the tyre to bottom out.
If you have a good dealer, they may warranty the loom.

I spoke to HD Perth today.. Will be under warranty! They did say they would fix the wire rather than replace it though.

I weigh 105kg.. So not exactly heavy, I've only ever riden it 2up once for an hour or so?

I'm a Harley newbie so I couldnt tell you what setting its on.

At 105kg your not exactly tinkerbell mate, no offence

Riding 2 up for 5 minutes on a soft preload setting would do that sort of damage pictured above, I'd say that's ya problem
