Half the problem with 1% clubs these days is they recruit lots of members who dont ride..

any feelings i had about the right to associate have slowly been eroded over the past 5 years because of the indifference of some omc's/chapters to keeping their shit private.

i hope a few omc's are made an example of ... i agree it wont stop the criminality of individual's , but it may benefit the remaining omc's whose majority of members are by and large "old school" and unlikely to get the attention of these association laws

Yep those are fair enough views FLSTC, ones that many would justifiably share. If the lawyers and lobbyists are legislatively successfull in making the word 'unlikely' in your last sentence become 'unable' then our work is done.....It will be back to those who play will pay....and those who dont....wont !

these laws are wrong full stop. its not ok to suggest that 'maybe they will make an example of some clubs and that will clean things up and then it will be ok' is just bulls**t. the laws that already exist are suffficient to chase criminals regardless of club membership.there are a species of subhumans who would still hate 'bikies' even if they wore ballet dresses, and theirs are the attitudes that drive these laws.

we are who we are, and if we change to suit the perceptions of others we are no longer ourselves.

honestly, if they are going to think of us as' wrong'  because our attitudes and lifestyles are different to theirs, then f**k them; it is their problem. but they are gonna have to accept that we will always exist, just as we have to accept that they will always exist.

they are never gonna like us, but fuckem i already have enough friends. so never stop. never explain.

Maybe the laws are wrong, but from what I can see, it looks like 1% clubs are making it bad for the rest of the motorcycle community who are trying to do the right thing.

Probably more than you'd think, Most of the bigger clubs who have been at war etc etc.

HA, bandits, como's, finks and so on. Have lots of members who dont have bikes..

I think many of you would agree that it does not matter at all if you have a criminal conviction or not, the powers that be are out to get all riders, with or without colours. If you are going to single out a club as a cause of the problem, then to me, You are the cause of the problem. If you ride and you want to turn your back on another rider, just because the are flying colours, then you are the person the powers that be are recruiting, you are helping them to break all riders up by distancing youselves from fellow riders, we should stand by our fellow riders through thick and thin, and the ones we should weed out are the ones that don't have the balls to to admit they ride. Don't stand there and look big when things are good then blame everyone else when things look bad. I ride and I love it, and if we have people that will turn on us when the time comes, because the powers that be want all bikes off the roads, including the back stabbers that want to blame clubs for the problems we will all have to face later on.
