how ya going guys , just after some info on my speedo speed for me 74 shovelhead , i have owned it for 14 years and the speedo use to read pretty close to the right speed , (21" front wheel speedo drive) over the year has been getting alittle worst , not oto bad , then the other day i changed the speedo cable (broke) and now it about 20kms out and at around 120 kms an hours the needle jumps around afair bit , im thinking the speedo drive is worn , but i would have thought it would slow down , any help to get it back on track would be great , thanks Wal
I broke a cable on my 85 Evo, so I fitted the GPS from the car so I knew how fast I was going. Turns out with the new cable and drive, I am18 klm out on the speedo?
Iv,e used Gauge Works, Port Rd, Adelaide SA ph 84456644. They have rebuilt speedo,s and tacho,s for me with excellect results.
thanks for all the info guys , the old manual doesnt tell ya that sort of stuff , i have a mate that makes up stickers , i got him to make up some of these for me , i recon they look alright , put one on the back of my helmet , what you ya think , Wal
Does your mate want to sell any of those stickers?? Bloody brilliant.
i will ask the question , stay tuned

Cheers
Getting back to the speedo drives this may or may not help, its from the online microfiche in Reference docs and how to guides at the bottom of the forums list. Prices may or may not be well out of date but its a great help for part numbers
