Just installed a recon cv carb on my bike , this bike has andrews cams in it can you suggest a jet set , i can start with to get it running properly ,

lots of backfiring at the moment - recon carb is a stock unit i would say.

    what motor?

well sounds lean did you also use new manifold seals & new seal where carb push's in?

first check what size pilot you have now let us know & what mj. there is a few different needles too but if its stock needle that bike came with? you can put a small electric washer under the needles head to lift it up & bring the richer curve of needle in earlier. but first need to know what is in it now,

Ok Boys, It Is A 1450 With Andrews Cams (dont Know Sizes) Rinehart Racing Pipes, And Will Only Run On 98 Octane, The Carby That Came Off Was A Mikuni, Was Causing Too Much Grief So I De Cided To Go Back To A Cv (harley Recon).
At The Moment It Has a 45 Pilot And A 180 Main , Airscrew About 2.5 Turns Out.

Larger pilot will stop your deceleration popping. Try a 48 pilot and 190 main and put in a Dynojet kit.

How much for the old Mikuni? I am looking at fitting one to my blower engine as I keep popping the CV slider rubber...lol
