Is it possible to remove the rear tail light and use the rear indicators as brake lights and turn signals like the UK?

Would this also be illegal here?

 

Another ask is, where can you buy black bullt indicators and how do you change them out? My first Harley so still learning all the tips and tricks. 

Fair call, I guess with them removing the tail light that would work.

Would there be much wiring involved with fitting the 2013 signals in replacement of the 2012 separate tail light and signals?

The 2013 street bobs have break lights integrated into blinkers, so do some sportys. I think its legal

you need to have an amber flashing indicator, not red I believe

pretty sure hmmm2 on the money with the 48's having that particular set up, goto a dealer and just flick a 48's indicators on

Haven't been online for a while and just seen the link.
I am in the progress of changing to the stop/turn/tail setup. I have used Dynamic clusters from customdynamics.com in the US. My biggest problem has been getting the holes in the guard cut out and a new piece welded in then getting it repainted (Sedona Orange $$$$)
You wild also need a load stabilizer for them as well. Have them all installed. They fit straight in the old bullet indicators and have a plug which goes into the indicator bayonet fitting and then drill one hole through the reflector which doesn't get used anymore anyway for the two extra wires on them that you tap into the brake and tail light wires. Can't wait to get my guard back and ride it on the road. Will attach a photo when complete.

Ta Bloody Da,        My finished run/stop/turn project. With a guard I ended up getting from the US.

Yo can see the dynamic clusters thru the indicator lenses.............

MarkMcKenz, My Sportster has LED rear Tail/Ind/Brake lights in one assembly. So it can be done, good luck.

i just about to put the dynamic clusters in like bradndAlly, got them the other week and have pulled apart turn signals just to check things out

Plugged in to try out and they flash normal for a second or two then speed up so would say need the load sstabiliser
