Can any one give any info about Vance & Hines Fuelpack for 08 1200 Sporstar. Good, bad whatever. Just after something easy to put on and forget, not have to frig around with computers. Thanks Begs
Begs I have one on my '12 fxdc with V&H pipes and air . runs great Bought everything from m&m cycles online in the usa
Thanks for that flacky. That is where I was looking at buying.
Thanks for the info Rodtrain. Stage 1 is far as I will take it. Does everything I need but runs as rough as guts and popping. So hopefully fuelpak will stop it
I have been looking at the same since V&H advised they have released a new model for the 2013 Sportys. I will also only doing stage 1 (Hammer Perf A/C + exhaust - already have SE SP slipons fitted). Was looking at XIEDs but been thinking maybe the FuelPak will give me more flexibility with the tune.
Cheers
Yea. I also have the slip ons so just after something easy. Still cant decide on V&H or Power Commander. Is really starting to give me the shits, which one. I dont get much time to ride it now. So dont want to spend time mucking around with computers tuning it
I installed a Vance & Hines Fuelpack on the girls 2009 Sportster 883 Low just after she purchased this bike, so after 4yrs its still going well.
Mods consist of RSD Air Cleaner, Vance & Hines Short Shots Exhaust.
Very easy installation a bit tight on space with the fuelpak installed as it is a piggy back system where you still use the stock ECM, with a bit of messing around it did all fit in nicely. When your done you just check the Vance & Hines Fuelpak for the correct settings for your bike, enter the codes listed, once thats done you just leave it and ride
For a basic bike with aftermarket Aircleaner and new pipes the Vance & Hines Fuelpack is a good system, if you were to go full on you would probably go with another system like a HD race tuner or a Thundermax with Auto Tune.
Fuelpak website with the required map for your paticular model, also there is a video of the installation process & programming the system.

You dont need a computer to setup the Fuelpak, but it would be a good thing if you have the internet to check the website also the latest maps, map codes do come with the instructions which are in the box.
