    Hi 13bob,

I've gone through the removing the Active exhaust valve on stock headers , and also removing the cat.  My advice is, after the valve is disabled , ie , the cable from the actuator is not moving anymore, is to cable tie the cable from actuator in a safe place.  Leave actuator in place,(as it's not harming anything.  I hope we never need to use it again, but if we do, (you never know in the future, the EPA fun police may make it hard at rego time) at least its all there ready to hook up.   Your bike , your decision.  Good luck

There's no real need to remove the whole unit, in my opinion.  If you remove the cable then even if the motor still moves it won't affect anything.

    Just my opinion.
