Questions on Mods & The dreaded EPA letter

Ok so here is my dilemma

I currently ride a 2010 Street bob with a breather and v&h longshots and I’m contemplating the 103 upgrade route. I’m not trying to create a firebreather, just something that pulls a little harder.

The issue is that I ride around 800km per week from the upper yarra through the city to docklands and back so I regularly ride past the boys in blue. I received an EPA letter a while back and cleared it by refitting the original pipes before putting my v&h back on with quiet baffles. Its pretty good now so touch wood attention should be less.

My question is that if I was to do either cams, a 103 or both what are my options if I cop another EPA letter? At the moment the bike is easily restored to standard for passing the anal probe, what happens with cams and a 103 kit when you mate them to standard pipes, can you still get the bike quiet enough to pass? Also if you go the cams/103 route does it make the bike significantly louder essentially making it cop bait again?

    Any advice welcome.

    Cheers

the stock pipes should get you back to acceptable, more compression from the larger capacity and the cams letting it actually breath will change the sound, not necessarily louder.
All that you should notice with the standard pipes back on is it may not ride as nice, might feel a little held back.
