Nothin wrong with the Dunlop 408 and 408F , great in the wet or dry , got 20k out of a rear on the roadie and still a bit left on the front but changed them both same time , the rear was just wearing through the centre case , still plenty on the sides , will change them out at 19k this time , that`s plenty enough for me , older dunlop rears only used to achieve 13-15k max on me ol`heritage ?

G'day team. I am the bloke with the Pirelli Night Dragons that the cook was referring to. I forked out 560 fitted and balanced for the pleasure of owning them. Although have only done approx 600 km on the tyres so far, I am thoroughly impressed with the handling they offer when compared to the factory Dunlops. The profile is more angular than the Dunlops which allows for greater contact surface area on the road when leaning Her into a corners . Due to the angular profile of the tyre i have found that the bike feels as if it does not require as much rider input to tip into a corner.

The Pirelli is a stickier compound than the Oem's which I have noticed as i am cornering quicker and with greater confidence. That being said, it will be interesting to see what kind of overall mileage i get from them.

The reason i went for the Pirellis is that I have had them on several of my cars over the years and as the say " you get what you pay for". I thoroughly recommend them.

Just thought i might add that I got them from Tyres for Bikes in Vic Park. Good blokes, great service and fair price.

with you 100% on the pirrelli night dragons. Have just swapped out my rear micthellin commander 2 after 16,000 km front one still going strong. The difference is unbeliveable with this night dragon on the rear, Im thinking they will be my weapon of choice from now on, cheers Grim
