anybody know where i can find a 4XL (or a 65cm) open face helmet aussie legal?? i hav a larger than normal head and always have trouble even with hats!

I'd be emailing some of the helmet stores and asking them.  Most stores only stock up to XXLs (if that), but they should be able to order one in.

have you tried a Shoei one? Nothing would fit my melon until I discovered they had a different shape that fits me perfectly...

Mate i know exactly how you feel ... its a bit of a curse having such big heads to fit all of our brains in ... all jokes aside , proberbly the best on the market is Shoei , but bloody expensive ... Nolan make a pretty decent sized one but is a little wierd looking with the air vent on top ... i got a M2R brand that still sits up a little like Humpty Dumpty but no where bad as so many on the market .

Just dont make my mistake and buy a couple of the cheap one`s then the Nolan then the M2R ... could have just got the Shoei in the first place ... another thing to remember is comfort , definitly not to loose allthough that wont be a problem from the sounds of things but just as bad is being to tight because after a decent ride your ears and skull will be screaming for some relief .

Got my M2R from Gasoline Ally up here in Brisbane allthough any bike shop should be able to get them in ... Happy hunting .

ive currently got a M2R 3XL open face but it sqishes the shit outa my forehead! ive also got a shoei full face that fits good.

since i live 500kms from a capital city and +300 odd ks from a decent stocked store its hard to find. when i found the shoei a few years ago i was in melbourne and litterally checked and tried on every xxxl helmet in all the bike shops on elizabeth st and only found ONE, the shoei...

you could always remove the lining, and use thinners on a brush and slowly melt away some of the polystyrene so it fits better, then put the lining back in.

funny story,  used know a fella that hated ponting.  hated him so much he used to wipe his ass on the tv screen when he was walking ouyt to bat.  haha   anyway used to call him "pinhead ponting".   turns out ricky ponting's hat size is 51.   my fucking wifes head is bigger than that.  reckon me 5 yr old would give it a nudge also.

Tried Ned Kelly`custom style get up , gutting a 3xl would be just as illegal i think ?
Probably cost ya more but maybe a kiwi dealer would stock bigger lids , they got pretty big heads over there hey ?

I'm 6'7 with a head thats in proportion (big) The shoei XXL open face fits me well.

Cannot get my head into the largest sizes of any other brand helmet but with the shoe its perfect.

I have the same problem and I've found that Shoei seems to fit well.
