Ordered my first parts for it a few days ago - New black mirrors, black horn cover and black mini apes, I just need to find out how to change the apes.

Would it be worth while ordering black turn signals or painting them while they are off? I want the rears and the taillight done too.

Or the final option it remove the rear taillight and use the turn signals as run/brake/indicators... But how do you do this?

Thats exactly what I'm after.. Is there any kind of write up on how to do this? If I asked them at HD would they know what I'm trying to do?

I dont know about been a write up but im sure some guys on here can help. Retroman seams to know his biz might be an idea to ge a hold of him and the guys down at H-D in Cannington are great to deal with! wouldnt hurt to ask them the worst that they could say is "it cant be done" and how many times do you hear that and still do it! haha.

I would think it would be as easy as just a re-wire should only be 5 wires all up, but i could be wrong. Just need a wiring diagram and im sure someone has one or know where to get one

Hi mate. Give Stuart Fyfe a call at American Restorations in Malaga. He deals with the older iron but will do your bars for you a heap cheaper than the dealership and takes pride in his work. I am giving him a call tomorrow to try and book mine in for next Monday to get my 14's installed.
