... this is what i've been busy doing over the last few weekends ..... wrapped the bike in dark brushed metal vinyl wrap - not the easiest of mediums to work with - and admittedly i have farked it up a bit here and there .....

But overall - for an amateur job - i'm bloody pleased with myself ..... notice the carbon fibre stripe along the tank?

    This is a 2011 Sportster 48 .. but ...

The seat is from a 883 Low

The tank is from an older Sportster

And i've added bits and bobs that are all Harley .....

Air cleaner cover coming soon .....

So we're not looking at a bike that's painted black, it's a bike wrapped in black vinyl?

They are the original tins... Never seen it done, but it looks like a bastard of a job to do....  Especially curves....  What was the total cost in the end. Is this the same stuff as Plasti wrap from the US....  Seen a couple of examples on the web,  but it more along the lines for cars...

    eh? yaself !
Ya said the tank is from an older sportser , seat from an 883 , i said i like the brushed black metal look , but asked , do ya still have the original tins and paint set and seat , in storage ?
If possible , I woulda kept the stock tins , paint set and seat meself , just in case ya wanted to return it to it`s stock condition or as an option for any new owner , if ya were to move it on later down the track , unless it was a repaired build or somethin and the original tins are no longer with it , `eh ?
Is that dark brushed metal vinyl wrap stuff removable and how is it adhered and aplied to the tins , does it require any heat or adhesive and if it is removable does it mark the original gear ?
Yeah the carbon fibre strip suits the tank well !
    Cheers

Nice job. Looks good. I did a car wrap once. Heck of a lot of work, so I can appreciate the effort put in.

Looks good. I was thinking of doing the same thing. I wasn't sure how it would turn out some started with small parts

    Stock

    Wrapped

I also had some left over so I fitted the gt stripes to my tool box ( took almost 4 hours )

    Cheers
