Hey guys ... was recently down at local dealer and was told that the 2008 softail due to the 200 rear section wheel and guard was not able to take one of the mini sissy bars ... does anyone know of alterative short sissy bars as i`m not real keen on the high ones ... even the shortest one the MoCo has is to high i reckon ... just want something short and neat like the mini so the missus has something to reassure her .

2008 CVO Low bar

HD Low sissy bar. they are not quick release however.

not sure if this is to high for you or not, I dont think  the short bar would fit with anything other than stock low seat.

 

Fit the side plates, go back and ask to try the low and the short and see how they fit and look, then get the one that suites. Trouble is you would already have committed to a HD bar by buying the side plates.

 

 

 its a little ugly but its just to tie the bag to when i go cruisin for weekends, the front bolts are a bit longer aswell for tying down

 

Some great idears guys ... liking the idear of getting a slightly cheaper one off the nett that fits and then cutting it down to suit ... will post some pics when i have her sorted .
