    Dragos

or maybe try a mute to create a bit more back pressure to the SE's already fitted, they will tone it down a little however

    or talk to these guys

The Khrome Werks tapered mufflers worked well on my 96", while retaining the stock look. I believe the S&S tapered mufflers work & sound good also. - Rob

Rush slip ons seem to have a decent following. I have the slash cut 1.75's on mine and don't mind them. Not excesively loud and feel like they perform quite well but never had another set on the bike to compare.

Few good reports on the Krome Werks as well.

Don't think you will get much more help in decision making, exhaust threads are a bit like cam and oil threads lol.

Hilly, I ran the CS's on my 96, with stock headers, AC and Andrews 55 cams. We're noisy when onnit, but good around town. That 96 with stock heads was almost 100hp with one of the first TTS tunes in it.

A Supertrapp muffler or mufflers can be tuned for torque, HP and also tuned for back pressure to suit headers with 02 sensors

I was running the internal disc type 3 inch supertrapp mufflers on my old 06 superglide and was happy with their performance and sound with 14 discs closed cap in each muffler. The bassani road rage on my bike was way too loud for me so I fitted a four inch trapp on it to quieten it down. I was running a differnt number of discs over a few weeks until I found what I wanted 24 closed. The best thing about the trapp is it can be street legal to pass EPA or changed to a open megaphone in a few minutes if you have vtuned maps to suit.

mate that is a lot of effort and a credit to your determination to get it the way you want.
I would like to do a similar thing with 2:1 but finding a set of header pipes with the heat shields stopping at the muffler connection seems the stumbling point. Currently working on the stock pipes and mufflers. I have found the baffles in the 2 mufflers are different must be to do with the flapper setup.

yea thought about them but haven't been able to look close at a set in real life. not sure if I can cut them back a bit to get the muffler forward. It looks like the stock set up goes way back which I don't like. When the weather clears up I will drop into the dealers and have a look around. A shorter but larger dia muffler may work.

Not sure if they ware made for all models but Cycle Shack has replacement baffle kits for some of there mufflers that were sold through SE. Might want to contact them and see what they may have for you.

I would experiment with installing a 1/4 bolt in the header end off the mufflers to gain back pressure like some of the smart tuners used to do to drag pipes. It would be interesting to see if you gain any torque from this simple mod and you could also run it along the perforated baffle with out drilling holes to see if it makes any diferance where its located. Suppertrapp sell 3 inch end muffler cones that would clean them up for the coppers and EPA if you get a hard time.

Get all your TTS stuff loaded on a usb stick before your computer crashes. I lost a shit load of maps to suit my bike when the laptop crashed.  .
