    Gudday guys how do?

Iam a 120 something kilo bloke with one of these beaut bikes but the fact of the matter is I am starting to scrape the thing cornering over here in luverly Unzud!  I am thinking of going two inch over on the forks (Apparantly the wide glide 49 ml forks are just the ticket) and going to a 13 inch shock at the rear. (Progressives website says the standard is 12. Can anyone see any faults so far? Has anyone done this already and discovered it to be a bad move. Anything I havnt thought about? Sidestand length etc

How does it look? Any one got any photos to share?

    Any Help greatly appreciated

    Cheers

Try a set of Ohlins 13 or 13.5's on the back, maybe Racetech front springs and gold emulators with a slightly heavier oil. Throw a True-Track on at the same time and you will have a Harley that will hold your weight and handle like a sport bike.(sorta).
No need to change one of the best HD front ends around, just mod the guts of 'em as stated.

You are spot on cak. I have put the wide glide forks( gives me 2 extra inches at front) on and have 13 inch shocks to go on this week. I also have mate who has both on and rides hard and never scrapes.you won't have any issues.although its a fatbob it is same principle. Here is his bike

i know the question is about clearance but the boys are right, I have the sputhe stabilisers and Ricor intimidators and bike is like its on rails.
Not big dollars either, but yep your wasting your time with that stuff if ya ain't got the clearance.

    Put Progressive 430,s , 12.5" long , and they,re great . Don,t get the heavy duty unless you are 250lb .

HD Forums Australia - 100_6325.JPG                                       This is mine in touring mode . In really tight cornering , the pegs grind and thats it .                                                                                                       With standard shocks I ground the pipes and the frame rail that protects the sump .

I`m 273 lbs mate, before jackets and luggage. Hell sometimes I wonder why I didnt buy a rocket 3 instead!! Oh yeah, cause they are bloody ugly and sound funny! !

Have you done anything to the front? Mine uses a bit over half the fork in normal conditions and in the tight stuff you don`t dare back out of the throttle or all kind of bad shit goes down!! Thats why I was thinking of the two inch overs. So what I am hearing here is that what I suggested is good but doesnt  neccesarily have to be done ? Being a big boy I cant get my head around not jacking the sucker up and also don`t understand why the Mo co went so bloody low (Hey that rhymes!!) with all their late model toys?

Thanks to one and all for photos and suggestions. Much appreciated  and plenty to think about
