alright got another mate or 2 coming also i think. going by the interest looks like we may have around 20 bikes going. will be a good day.

just a reminder for all, re the meet points. coming from north : carpark behind the caltex in leederville (vincent st) at 9am. we will hang around for 10-15 mins for coxy ; ) if you are coming from south : caltex on cnr of nettleton & south west hwy in byford at 10am. same again we will wait a few minutes for stragglers.

 could be a mini "Stone Run" .....

For those not old enough to remember I'm pretty sure STONE was the first "biker" movie made in Oz and the Patch they used in the film was subsequently used by the Vets MCC. 

 

Stone was pretty tame by todays standards but became a bit of a cult movie 

 

 

Some mates & I did the 20 Year  Memorial Run in 1993 -  I had a 1990 1340 Springer back then ...

 Anyone else do that run?

so many bikes it took 4 1/12 hours for spectators to watch them all go by .

AND .......(from what I recall....) a good time was had by all.... 

PS these two images came from the Z1 owners site (the huys that organised the original run) coz I was riding ...or face down somewhere.. 

 AHHH! the old show us ya Tits call & 99% of the time they did...I remember those days on the mountain at Bathurst as well , couldn`t say that now they`d  slap a law suite on ya..

Yeah, agree with Cam good ride shame we caught the end of the swap meet but we all needed a beer in Waroona lol

A great turn out 20+ bikes also it's good to be able to put names to faces, lets hope we can build on this ride and do it again.

 Well that was easy!

what a great day.  we were a very organised bunch for the first couple of meet points & the great ride through the twisty bits.   then the wheels fell off when we decided to meet in a pub carpark.  : )   have to make sure there is more of it in the future.  shame we missed a lot of the swapmeet.  still saw some great bikes & was tgood to get down there for a few beers.
