I took the bike up to the Halfway house on the Putty yesterday with a few mates. The 23 handles well. The only difference i noticed with it was a positive. It doesnt follow grooves and ruts in the road like the 21 did. After the rake the front end feels a little more harsh than before but im thinking maybe the shop put a thicker oil in the fork. Im going to eventually go with the Progressive monotubes for the front end so that should sort that.

That's good news about the 23" front wheel ... I know what you mean about the 21" following the road ruts ... Geez you wouldn't want to get caught in those Tram tracks down south , Lol .

I got to doing those Progressive mono tubes the other day and added another 2 degrees rake with a new set of trees. Its a night and day difference in the handling department. It now rides and handles better than the standard front end with the 21 inch.

apart from "fucking great effort to be proud of", I would only suggest you see if you can tidy up the clutch cable before you catch it on something

I have to say well done i have seen a lot of bikes where they have tried to do them in a similar fashion and they just don't look right.
Everything looks spot on it's good to see it come together for you.

Hey Rum Pig ... my solo is from Mustang ... unbelievably comfortable ... only had the original Softail seat and one of those hard ass Badland things to compare but absolutely love it ... have a bit of a Jap bike back ground and it even measures up quite well to all of those .

Go the Rum drinkers , Lol , Bundy man myself ... Cheers , Tim .
